Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the EyeLog mobile application (the
"App") operated by Applot ("we," "our," or "us").
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any
part of the Terms, you must not access or use the App.
1. Scope of Service
EyeLog is a personal and professional optical record-keeping utility designed to help users store, track,
organize, and convert eyeglass and contact lens prescription parameters. The App enables multi-profile
management, prescription parameter comparison, cloud backup, and PDF export.
2. Disclaimer & User Responsibility
- Not Medical Advice: EyeLog is an administrative logging tool. It does
not provide professional medical advice, eye care advice, or treatment recommendations.
- Conversional Estimates: The App's automated calculation tools (such as Back Vertex
Distance conversions) use standard mathematical formulas to estimate equivalent lens powers. These
conversions do not replace a physical contact lens fitting or professional evaluation by a
licensed eye care professional.
- Accuracy of Data: You are solely responsible for ensuring that all data entered into
the App is accurate and corresponds to valid prescriptions issued by an eye care specialist. Applot is
not liable for errors, inaccuracies, or optical discomfort resulting from incorrect parameters or
unchecked conversions.
3. Account Security and Usage
- User Accounts: You may use the App as a Guest (anonymous auth) or register an account.
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your
account.
- Profiles: If you create profiles for other individuals, you represent and warrant that
you have their consent to store their prescription information.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
- Subscription Tiers: EyeLog offers paid subscription tiers — Plus and Pro — available as monthly or yearly plans. Certain features (including unlimited profiles, prescription comparison, converters, and PDF export) require an active Plus or Pro subscription.
- Transactions: Billing and subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store (In-App Purchases) and Google Play Billing via RevenueCat. Payments will be charged to your respective Apple Account or Google Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled through your Apple ID Subscriptions or Google Play Store subscription settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Free Tier: The App is available for free with baseline profile and prescription storage capacity.
5. Termination & Data Purge
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for
conduct that we believe violates these Terms. You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your
account through the App settings or our Account Deletion Portal, which will permanently purge your local and cloud database records.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Applot, its employees, or partners be
liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including, but not limited
to, purchasing incorrect corrective lenses, vision strain, loss of records, or business interruption)
arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its
conflict of law provisions.
